Hello, hello! Today is capstone day two and I'm feeling good!
Today I am going to begin advertising for the Cupcakes ‘n Code event on the 20th. I will be driving around today putting up posters in the library, after-school clubs and in Elementary and Middle Schools so that teachers and students can inform parents about registering for the workshop! In reference to the picture, I really want wristbands for my Cupcakes 'n Code workshops but they are super expensive. So, I decided to take it upon myself to email a few companies about sponsoring future Cupcakes 'n Code events and providing us with memorabilia. Below is an email that I sent out: Hello Wrist-Band team! I am Tanya Ravi, from Freedom High School in Northern Virginia. This past year, I have started an initiative called "Cupcakes 'n Code" (http://cupcakesncode.weebly.com/), that introduces elementary/middle school girls to programming in a friendly, nonjudgmental environment. Bonus: we also indulge in decadent, homemade cupcakes! For this I have received great community support and recognition by Stanford University's She++ team with a fellowship. Wristbands are great mementos of their coding accomplishment (specifically for this age group), so would you be interested in sponsoring wristbands for Cupcakes 'n Code? In return, I would promote the Wrist-Band.com link on our Cupcakes 'n Code website along with a logo as well as on t-shirts, flyers, etc. Thank you so much and please email me. I look forward to a great partnership! Tanya Ravi Cupcakes 'n Code Founder http://cupcakesncode.weebly.com/
